Emily Winn is a freshman at Denver School of the Arts in the Creative Writing major. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and backpacking and hiking around Colorado. This year with PresenTense Emily has enjoyed creating her venture, Bold Gold, based on her experience as the sibling of a cancer surivior. PresenTense has taught her so much and she is excited to continue developing Bold Gold in the coming months.
Venture: Denver School of the Arts
Bold Gold is a youth group for siblings of children with cancer and other diseases requiring in-hospital treatment. As a sibling of a cancer survivor, Emily knows that forming relationships with other kids who have gone through the same experience is a unique and important bond. Through a monthly group, complete with crafts, snacks, and other fun activities, Bold Gold is designed to help children work through and understand their sibling’s illness while cultivating life long friendships.
