Juli Kramer has her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, with a Cognate emphasis in Counseling Psychology, from the University of Denver. She was the founding principal of Denver Academy of Torah High School and is transitioning into a consultant role for the school this year. Juli also develops curriculum for and consults with the Denver Art Museum. She has written over 400 lesson plans for the museum over the past seven years. Juli’s research focuses on healthy youth development, creativity, and care theory. Juli won the National Art Education Association’s Elliot Eisner Doctoral Research Award in Art Education in 2011, as well as the American Psychological Association Graduate Student Ethics Prize in 2005. Juli presents regularly at national and regional conferences on using holistic learning experiences to enhance positive youth development in both formal and informal educational settings.
